Surf conditions at 7.45 a.m. on Monday 21st January 2013:
Whew, it is pumping down there!
Solid monster walls of glass are unloading themselves with perfect symmetry at every break in the bay this morning. Big and perfect waves are lining up and peeling off with a boomf and a whoomp!
It's just off low tide, which makes me wonder about all those low tide breaks along the coast!
There are some perfect waves rolling through that overcast half light of another thick grey and freezing (-1 deg c) morning and I'm guessing that it will be the same all along the coast
I would shimmy on down and grab some piccies but it is taking so long to get light enough! Maybe later.
Anyway, right now it is pumping, it is super clean but get on it quick, that wind is going to appear soon enough and it's probably going to blow from the wrong direction!
Apparently it is Black Monday today.... one of the more depressing days of the year so they say!
Well, if you're feeling down and cannot get to the surf this morning (although it is good enough today to really try to!) then have a little look at this short film at youtu.be/AT3CeGjfvoo Filmed by Tim (Boydell), sung by Ruarri (Joseph), raked by Tony (Plant)!
And thanks to Red Van Rob for the suggestion of running a, 'strangest place to take a pic of a Constantine Bay Surf Store' travel mug' competition. And he's even kicked it off by supplying the image below of one of our finest coffee mugs sitting on an ROV (I don't know either! But I guess it's on a boat somewhere a long way away)!
So, you know where to send them!
Let's see if we can beat Toby's sticker at the Bank of England from last year!
The usual prizes and kudos and fame to the ones that are published!
