Surf conditions at 7.35 a.m. on Thursday 24th January 2013:
It's a very pleasant morning this morning, the sky streaked pink and pale blue, a haze out to sea and crisp, sharp, curling waves rolling across the bay!
The surf is four to five to six feet on the sets, the wind no more than a breeze, that breeze breathing offshore, helping to shape those booming waves into hollow and peeling things.
Yep, it's looking good, again!
That is a good couple of hours ahead of low tide and so I guess that it will only improve again on the incoming tide. So, pick your favourite break and have a good surf!
Has anyone else noticed more fishing lights out to sea this last few weeks? This morning there was a real spooky one, a normal single bright light but just behind it the faintest of illuminated outlines of a massive vessel in the haze!
I hope that the other lights are from the local guys and not those big fish factory things that just vacuum everything up!
Filmed by Tim (Boydell), sung by Ruarri (Joseph), raked by Tony (Plant), check out this little moment of loveliness at youtu.be/AT3CeGjfvoo Then go for a surf!
Thanks to Red Van Rob for the suggestion of running a, 'strangest place to take a pic of a Constantine Bay Surf Store' travel mug' competition. And he's even kicked it off by supplying the image below of one of our finest coffee mugs sitting on an ROV (I don't know either! But I guess it's on a boat somewhere a long way away)! You know where to send them (email@example.com). Let's see if we can beat Toby's sticker at the Bank of England from last year!
The usual prizes and kudos and fame to the ones that are published!
Watch out for another PoP uP SALe this weekend! Maybe time to get some new boots, gloves or a hat? Or even take full advantage and grab yourself a bargain wetsuit!
