Light Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 7.30 a.m. on Saturday 26th January 2013:
That gale that blew through last night, seems to have blown itself away, it's surprisingly pleasant and calm this morning with a bright and cheerful sunrise maybe promising more than it can deliver.
A light westerly wind is still strong enough to trash the maybe four, maybe five feet of surf. There are biggish lumps of water being rudely shoved about the bay, drunkenly spilling themselves wherever they want. It would be a beast of a paddle with very little reward.
Let's have a look over at Harlyn......
Check this little nugget out! Filmed by Tim (Boydell), sung by Ruarri (Joseph), raked by Tony (Plant), enjoy this little moment of loveliness at youtu.be/AT3CeGjfvoo Then go for a surf!
Following my mention on Thursday of the increase in boat lights bobbing around out there in the early morning, thanks for all the info that you've sent in. It seems that the big and spooky looking boat (in that early dawn half light) of Thursday was the research vessel 'Cefas Endeavour'. It is tracking down towards St. Ives right now. How do I know this?
