4ft Strong Cross-Shore wind * * *
Surf conditions at 7.35 a.m. on Wednesday 30th January 2013: It has dropped a lot from yesterday morning, there are still some pleasant set waves rolling in but that wind is just a little too westerly to allow it to be 'good'. Three feet of slightly mixed up surf is swirling around at high tide, the bigger set waves washing through some driftwood and other flotsam. The biggest set waves are probably in the four foot size range, holding shape at high tide but it is probably going to deteriorate at least a little on the dropping tide. Unless the wind continues to drop as it is right now..... The forecasts are all showing an increase in wind strength through the morning but so far, it's weakening to no more than a light cross/offshore. And no sooner have I said that and the gusts start again! Yep, it should be worth a wet pretty much right about now and then maybe have another little look for low tide.
