Medium Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 7.25 a.m. on Thursday 7th February 2013:
Compared to the last few days, this morning is much calmer, the pink and blue dawn maybe over promising though.
The wind is still steady, still from the north west, still onshore. And so the much smaller surf continues to be all choppy and washed out, a mixed up mess but not that stormy, ginormousness of the last few days. It's still not a place that you would rush to surf today but maybe it's starting to very slowly improve.
In the meantime it could be that drive south again, if there is enough swell getting around there?
And how much fun was I having yesterday, further down the coast talking surfboard shapes and stock for this coming season with a real surfboard shaper (yes there's still the odd one left out there!).
We are really, really excited about this year's surfboard stock! The plan is that a lifetime's experience in riding and handling surfboards is going to be translated into fresh, new and exciting designs from one of the most experienced surfboard manufacturers in the country. And the prices should be good too!
But way more about all that closer to the start of the season!
In the meantime, on these stormy days what can we do to tempt you through the doors of our tiny little surf store this weekend?
You do seem to have been enjoying our WEEKEND POP-UP sales with massive reductions on pretty much everything, so maybe that's the way to go again this weekend? Or how about just a WETSUIT SALE or SURFBOARD SALE with an even bigger reduction?
So, let us know what would tempt you down those winding and windswept lanes to visit us this weekend (email@example.com) and we might even give you a little reward!
