Surf conditions at 7.35a.m. on Monday 11th February 2013:
Oh yeah, it's pumping!!
Six to eight feet of vertical, waterey walls are sluicing themselves across the Reef this morning, standing tall and folding themselves into cylinders as they explode into zipping barrels.
The tide is a little high and, actually, it is probably a little big for itself and so it might benefit from the dropping tide. But the basics are there; a thumping swell, the lightest of offshore (north easterly) breezes, a bright and cheerful dawn and barely a soul in sight!
It's looking like a good day ahead!
