Surf conditions at 7.10 a.m. on Sunday 17th February 2013:
Summer daze in Winter!
It is another beautiful morning, with a very pleasant looking three to four feet of surf being pampered by the lightest of offshore breezes under a bright and clear sky.
It's difficult to believe that it's mid February, well until you look at the thermometer that is (5 deg C)! But how (relatively) mild is the water! Still just clinging to double digits inshore!
The surf is a bit bigger than yesterday and maybe it's a bit more solid too, which is probably worrying the guy in the Range Rover over his axles in the sand but I think that he is just above the high tide mark, so he might be okay.
Or maybe it will give the groms something to olly over, it being half term and all that!
Anyway, the surf is pretty darned good and the weather is beckoning us all outside!
And with the school half term holidays upon us the kids are going to be frothing in these conditions. So to celebrate the groms being on the loose, we are doing a little 'GROM SALE!'
No, we're not selling the little beggars, we are reducing all of our Grom lines by 25%!! So, if the little surfer in your life is keen, then now is the time to check out our boards, wetsuits, boots and gloves, clothing and all sorts!
We're open daily from 10 till 4 so drop in on us this week!
Here's a little image mash-up of last week from a variety of people in a variety of places:
