Surf conditions at 7.10 a.m. on Saturday 23rd February 2013:
It has a proper winter look to it this morning, the white grey sky blending with the grey white sea, only the brilliant whiteness of broken up whitewater separating the two.
But the wind has dropped away, still offshore, still north of easterly, still helping to shape the three to four to five feet waves into watery ovals. Yep, it's good again this morning!
There's not that smoothness of yesterday with those big gaps between waves and sets, it's all a little closer together this morning but it is still setty, you have to wait for those bigger drops. The inbetweeny ones are still fine as well though.
So, go grab yourself a wave at your favourite break, it's likely to be pumping and clean!
With the school half term holidays coming to a close, the kids have been frothing in the surf that we've all been enjoying this week! And to celebrate the groms being on the loose, we have been doing a little 'GROM SALE!'.
No, we haven't been selling the little beggars, we have reduced all of our Grom lines by 25%!! So, if the little surfer in your life is keen, then now is the time to check out our boards, wetsuits, boots and gloves, clothing and all sorts! But get on it quick, it has to end tomorrow!
We're open daily from 10 till 4 so drop in on us this weekend!
Also, for all the young 'uns who are looking to push their surfing up a level or two, here's a big opportunity; Tom Butler is putting on a Groms' performance training camp in sunny Portugal over Easter! Check it out at: tbsurfing.com/images/site/Tom%20Butler%20Grom%20Weeks.pdf
