Surf conditions at 7.10 a.m. on Thursday 7th March 2013:
There are some nice lines coming through this morning, not big or anything but a decent couple to three feet with the odd bigger set if you have the patience.
The grey sky is a bit threatening but otherwise it's mild(er) with a freshening offshore (south easterly) wind keeping those waves in order.
There's a definite new swell in place, pushed our way from that mixture of low pressure systems scattered around the north atlantic. I guess that we will see those lows arrive over us soon enough, although probably not until tomorrow.
In the meantime we can enjoy some very good surf again, probably at its best towards the lunch time high tide.
And it's that time of year when we start to receive the first of our Summer stock deliveries. It's fun trying to balance that need for winter wetsuit stuff as well as the desire to get new things for the soon to be here warmer season. And, as always, space is at a premium in our little store.
So we are going to be clearing all of our thermal vests this weekend, 30% off all of them, hooded and unhooded.
And we'll be knocking a good 25% off those winter suits that are left too!
So, pop in and see us over the weekend for another super bargain, we're here 10 till 4, Saturday and Sunday.
Some good action at the Roxy Pro held or attention last night as the quarter finals went down at a meaty and mixed up Kirra on the Gold Coast of Oz. Stephanie Gilmour showed us all how to ride that Kirra barrel.
Nasty wind squalls forced the comp to finish after the girls' quarter final. Let's hope that conditions clean up for tonight's session amd let's hope that Killer Kirra get its shine on!
