3ft Calm Cross-Shore wind * * *
Surf conditions at 7.10 a.m. on Friday 8th March 2013: It might be a little overcast right now but it feels mild and you just know that it is going to brighten up soon enough. The two to three feet of surf is really very pleasant looking, a little crumbly maybe compared to the last how long but still holding its shape and lining up quite nicely. That breeze is just about direct southerly here, sideshore to these bays. The swell is likely to build through the day while the wind is forecast to stay light or disappear entirely while sky brightens. So it's all looking quite promising for some pleasant, fun surf, not as clean as we have enjoyed but fun looking and full of promise! And it's that time of year when we start to receive the first of our Summer stock deliveries. It's fun trying to balance that need for winter wetsuit stuff as well as the desire to get new things for the soon to be here warmer season. And, as always, space is at a premium in our little store. So we are going to be clearing all of our thermal vests this weekend, 30% off all of them, hooded and unhooded. And we'll be knocking a good 25% off those winter suits that are left with some of them sailing out at HALF PRICE too! So, pop in and see us over the weekend for another super bargain, we're here 10 till 4, Saturday and Sunday. The Quik Pro and Roxy Pro had a lay day yesterday on the Gold Coast of Oz, waiting for Kirra or Snapper to start showing their stuff. It would be fitting to see the Roxy final kick off on International Women's Day, Stephanie Gilmour showed us all how to ride that Kirra barrel in the Quarters on Wednesday. Nasty wind squalls forced the comp to finish after the girls' quarter final. Let's hope that conditions clean up for Friday's session and let's hope that Killer Kirra get its shine on!
