Surf conditions at 7.05 a.m. on Sunday 10th March 2013:
It's a bit more wintery this morning with that wind growling in from the east, all fresh and biting, pushing those thick and chunky waves into walling watery funnels of fun!
It's bigger than yesterday morning in spite of the strengthening offshore, four feet of lined up and steady swell is pushing solidly against the wind. That wind has a winter sting to it though, not helped on an overcast morning, a little drizzle here and there just to remind us that there's a while to go before those summer days arrive!
But the surf is good, three to four to five feet of offshore barrels, one or two of those peaks a bit fat from the wind but others just barreling and shrieking across the bay.
With just a little scouting around you should be able to find a really good session!
And over on the Gold Coast in Australia the Quik Pro is putting on a show with the Snapper super bank showing flashes of its former self. With Jon Jon pulling out due to an ankle injury suffered during the Expression Session, could Adam Melling be in with a shout at this event? He is ripping!
