About Us

A family run, boutique resort on the south coast of West Java, just 15 minutes from Pelabuhan Ratu. Whether escaping the hustle and bustle of Indonesia’s capital city, Jakarta, or coming from overseas, Cimaja Beach Club provides a fabulous base to explore this beautiful region.

No matter if you are a first timer or life long regular to the area, all are invited to share our little piece of paradise.

Accommodation

Cimaja Beach Club offers premier boutique bungalow accommodation. Air-conditioned rooms, comfortable King Koil beds, walk-in wardrobes, and en suite bathrooms come as standard - catering to guests looking for a bit more comfort in their relaxing West Java getaway.

Connected by raised walkways, the bungalows follow the contours of the surroundings, over 2 metres above the ground. Each unique bungalow has a sunrise deck and a sunset rooftop deck with unobstructed views of the surf, river, and padi fields. Now with a beautiful 10m swimming pool, the resort is perfect for couples and families.

Bar & Restaurant

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 8am to 9pm, CBC focuses on fresh, home cooked snacks and meals.

Breakfast ranges from Full English to Granola with homemade yoghurt and fruits, whilst lunch mainly consist of filling wraps, salads and rice bowls. The dinner menu focuses on seafood and pastas, with daily specials depending on what is available at the fish market. Vegetables are sourced from an organic farm in Sukabumi and CBC does it's best to buy products from small producers.

Booking for dinner is encouraged as we have limited table space. If we have caught a large barracuda in the morning, we will be barbequing it in the evening, so please give us a call at +62 266 6446 596 to check what will be on the menu. Fresh juice, beers and wines are available all day.

Surf

Cimaja and the surrounding areas are blessed with world class waves that can handle all kinds of swell sizes and directions.

Cimaja Point and Indicators are the two spots that are surf-in/surf-out from the Cimaja Beach Club. Cimaja works year round on any swell from 2–6ft, while Indicators starts working from 4–10ft. Beach breaks at Samudra and Sunset can be fun on smaller days, while Sawarna’s long lefts test surfers of all levels. Lots of less crowded spots can be found easily, as well as rarely breaking reefs and points when the swell is right.

Cimaja is also a great off season option as it picks up even the smallest swells.

Getting There

The nearest major airport is Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta (1.5 hours from Singapore or Bali, 3 hours from Perth). CBC can provide car transport from the airport or elsewhere in Jakarta and this can be purchased with the room booking. It is recommended that you travel to Cimaja very early morning, middle of the day or at night, especially on the weekend as traffic can be bad. It normally takes 3 hours by car if you drive at a sensible time.

A train is available to Sukabumi which takes around 3 hours from Jakarta - then it is 2 hours to Cimaja from there. Buses are also available from Bogor to Pelabuhan Ratu and will normally take 4 hours.

Other Attractions

West Java is full of attractions, making it an ideal destination all year round. Visitors love to rent motorbikes and there is no better way to see the dramatic coastline or head up into the hills. From releasing turtles to dipping in hot springs, exploring bat caves to traditional villages, just ask the CBC staff to point you in the right direction.

Rafting, spear fishing and downhill biking are all available for the extreme sports enthusiasts, or take it easy and be in awe of some of the giant waterfalls at the Unesco protected geopark - just 1.5hours away!
