The most sheltered of the Newquay beaches, and hence a popular spot during huge southwesterly storms when the waves here can be clean and offshore. A left breaks off the harbour wall, but the rest of the beach is either fast short lefts and rights, or a huge close out. This doesn't stop if from being super busy when breaking and carnage can ensue. Fun if you need to get wet and this is your only option - but keep your eyes open.
