Hurricane Irma, the most powerful Atlantic storm on record, is now a post-tropical cyclone as of yesterday that continues to weaken as it moves North West.

But the damage has been done, the effected Caribbean Islands are working through rescue and relief initiatives but many still lack power while evacuated residents of Florida have begun to return home. 6.2 million in the state are still without power, however, cleanup operations have begun.

And now, with millions on the slow road to recovery, the few who were lucky enough to experience any sort of positives from the storm, (by positives I mean good waves) have started to drip feed their finest imagery and footage stretching from Aruba in the Southern Caribbean to Florida's Gulf Coast and of course, East Coast states including New Jersey and North Carolina. Check out the best sessions below.

Florida's Gulf Coast

"The panhandle of the Gulf Coast of Florida lived up to its name on Sunday thanks to Hurricane Irma," photographer Alex Dantin tells MSW. "What I mean by that is there was a very small window of opportunity of pristine conditions on our tiny island of Pensacola Beach. The SaltyHumans crew were the only guys out for miles after finding a solid sandbar and made the best of the favorable winds while it lasted—less than an hour."

Irma squeezed a pulse past the tip of Florida dishing up some swell to the pan-handle before making its way up the East Coast.
