It's Still Pumping on the East Coast Thanks to Hurricane Jose

"A season for the books." A statement echoed in some way or another by all of our East Coast friends over the last few weeks as they've scrapped to make time to chase it.

Now, the Hurricane updates have been coming thick and fast so all I'll say here is that, in today's edition of the best from the East, everything you'll see below has originated from Hurricane Jose over the last two days. And it might just be the best, almost certainly biggest, spell of this month's non-stop run. Anyway, let's allow the photos and photographers to speak for themselves. Scroll away...

Wednesday: Hurricane Jose hugged the East Coast but despite her close proximity, strong winds from the north were just about favourable. Hurricane Maria follows unfortunately on a more destructive path - more on that here.

"We have been getting tubed all Fall here on the Outer Banks but it's been a while since it's looked like this. Since Winter Storm Stellla actually. There was so much talent in the water, it was hard to keep up with who just got the barrel of their life."

"My favourite sesh of the day shared with some close friends," Shawn Casey (pictured) tells MSW. "Winds were not perfect but really light. The swell was pulsing with great angle and shape through the mid day low."

"Winds didn't cooperate perfectly back home, but the swell was still firing and we're in boardies still so when theres heavy tubes all day..."
