Yesterday, things got big. By all accounts, too big. Waves unridden as this colossal swell slammed into Indonesia. People opted out of massive Kandui, said it was too much. Except, Aritz Aranburu.
“Couple of hectic days, yesterday and today, it keeps going,” he told MSW. “Yesterday, the swell was too big, during the day it went bigger and bigger, I surfed on my own – really crazy.”

How crazy we talkin'? “Swell was too big and tide was too low, so much energy,” said lensperson Manu Miguelez. “Aritz surfed Kandui by himself.” Yeah, we're gonna bet the Basuqe warrior was all froth for that. Oh there were a couple other people who took a swing at this thing, but Aritz is up there with the best barrel riders in the world. More soon. Rumour has it the GOAT is inbound...

Some guts...
