WATCH: Bodyboarding in the Swiss Alps

By on

A few months ago, four of the best bodyboarders in the world took a tour around the Azores and had a flipping good time while doing so (yeah, pun intended). And now, half of that same crew, along with two other masters of prone travel to the Swiss Alps to take on the mechanically perfect, crystal blue waters of the Alaia Bay wave pool.

Multiple world champions Pierre Louis-Costes and Isabela Sousa are this time joined by Portuguese frother Steph Kokorelis and Italian rider Simone Macera as they trade wave after wave at this ultimate playground.

It's business as usual for this team, with one very different aspect — the location. The unique backdrop of Sion in Switzerland is a stunning setting, especially with this talented bunch throwing a huge and effortless air reverse in the foreground. It's a sight you don't normally see in a typical bodyboard edit, but it's a welcome one.

Hit play above for what looks like a whole load of fun, and maybe book a session and a flight while you're at it.

Hot tip: watch until the end for a wave from all four riders in one uninterrupted shot, epic stuff.

A short story with Steph Kokorelis. Spoiler! It's a happy ending.
