The Longest Wave in Indonesia Awakens

By on

Oh boy, it's that time of the year again.

Last Saturday, the first real swell of the season filled in to the Mentawai archipelago and the longest wave in Indonesia awoke from it's slumber.

A swell which peaked at 6ft @ 13 seconds on Friday evening going into Saturday morning with light offshore winds, provided Rifles with some of the dreamiest conditions you're likely to see. There was a decent crowd that activated on it too, and freelance filmmaker and photographer Balint Hambalko was present to capture all the angles.

Give his edit a watch to see what a close-to-perfection day at Kandui Right looks like. And then book your flight maybe.
