Would You Drive 24 Hours for Barrels?
By Craig Murch on
This is how you open an edit. And if you haven't heard of Scott Dennis before then you're about to get to know a bit about one of Australia's most committed, slab seeking chargers.
He rolls with the likes of Russel Bierke and without knowing it, you may well have seen him in-front of the lens of daredevil photographer Leroy Bellet. He resides in Ulladulla, NSW and while there's a slab or two close to home, to score some of the waves you see above Scott must rack up some serious mileage.
When asked about how often he gets to scoop under a particularly heavy ledge in the clip, Mr Dennis had this to say: "Only a few times a year and you need to be super keen and onto the charts as it takes 24 hours driving to get there. Only a handful of people will take that mission on, but when you score slabs like that with only your crew out it's a good feeling."
