3ft Medium Onshore wind *
Polzeath Surf Report Photo
Polzeath 7.0: there is a fairly stiff onshore breeze on the beach this morning which is how it is going to be for most of this week. The waist to chest high waves are therefore of the mush variety with a very short period, and sitting on the beach would be uncomfortable even though the air temp is quite high. The sun may well come out later today but it will have to fight through the veil of cloud that hangs over us now. High water will be at 9.00 this morning and 9.30 tonight with low tide this afternoon at 3.30pm. As I said the rest of the week is characterised by the onshore wind which will dominate the weather and surf conditions, no particular good day for surfing it will be a question of pot luck. The weather pattern is moving more Autumnal, soon to be the favourite season for most surfers when the water is warm the crowds diminish and the solid swells start arriving. Make the best of this by getting your new surfboard bought or ordered, come and see our range of surfboards from 5’2” to 10’ SUP we’ve got most shapes covered. If your board is looking tatty bring it in and get those dings fixed in either epoxy or polyester resin. Where possible we let you try our boards before you buy so that you are sure you are making the right investment. About Escape Surfboards
At Escape Surfboards we are dedicated to producing the best surfboards that are going to suit all surfers, no matter what your ability. We have been working on several new designs over the winter that will get the best out of our slack summer waves. As well as refining our already successful designs we have taken a look at what has been going on in the rest of the world and the results are the all new Kiwi Burst which is a new take on the mini-mal/Flying Carpet concept with a wider body and diamond tail. The Kiwi Burst can be surfed either as a single fin, Thruster or Quad and will be sold exclusively through Magic Seaweed. The second board is the Mini-S which is very much a mini-simms design with its distinctive parallel outline, S deck, with hull shaped bottom entry leading to single concave in the tail; surfed either as a keel twin or quad the Mini-S will be a great board for beating the summer small surf blues. We specialize in making boards in either polyester or epoxy resin and can fix your board in almost any construction.
