Strong Cross-Shore wind
Surf conditions at 7.30 a.m. on Wednesday 12th February 2014:
Another wet 'n windy one is building around us this morning.
The half light of a grey and murky morning is showing some big waves rolling in from the Quies again, the wind biting and building steadily from the south sou' west.
In fact that wind is almost offshore! Almost but not quite.
So the rights (if you could get to them) are reeling away, all hollow and steep and peeling until they explode into each other.
The surf is in the eight foot range and evenly spaced, if the wind wasn't blowing up and was coming from a few degrees further to the east, it would be epic!
But it's not.
Yeah, it's interesting to look at but you might not want to get too cosy with it, it looks like it might just bite you out there.
And all of it is going to build today, the wind, the swell, the rain, it is all set to increase!
And if you are headed this way for the school holidays this weekend, don't worry, we are open daily throughout the half term break and have loads of offers on the go!
So whether you're looking to upgrade the little ones' wetsuits or need some boots, gloves or hats then drop in on us, you might be surprised at some of our offers!
