Surf conditions at 6.55 a.m. on Wednesday 5th March 2014:
What a beautiful St. Piran's Day morning it is, a bright and cheery one (after scraping that ice off the windscreen!) full of the promise of Spring. The breeze is nothing more than the lightest of air movement breathing offshore and reflecting off those still thick and still solid, four foot waves.
The surf looks good, the weather looks good, the tide is high in an hour or so and a day of surfing fun-in-the-sun lies ahead!
The forecast is showing that the breeze is likely to slide to the south west and strengthen just a little through this afternoon but other than that, it really is all looking good!
And with that middle peak churning itself inside out, it's going to be interesting to find out how good the shape is on these west facing surf breaks after all those winter storms!
