3ft Calm Cross-Shore wind * *
Cloud 9 Surf Report Photo
Things have gone back to glass and the crowd is back.Early this morning i was pleasantly surprised looking out the window as i stumbled down the path in the half light of 5am to paddle out and only the only surfer was resident Martin from GL in the water with a similar 3-3.5ft swell that has been running and only the lightest crosshore wind, but for some reason even though it was mid tide it seemed to lack power that is characteristic of cloud 9.He told me of a low pressure system that was forming south of Palau and hoping for a coming swell but i have attached the report below.Crowd had built to 12 by 6:30am and was still building. The Low Pressure Area (97W/1009 MB) over the Philippine Sea has dissipated and is no longer a potential of becoming a Tropical Cyclone. The ill-defined center was located about 360 km SSE of Palau or 1,000 km SE of Mindanao, PH (4.0N 135.0E)...max winds of 25-35 kph...currently moving SSW @ 02 kph. This is the final watch on this disturbance, unless regeneration occurs.
